Members of the Peterborough County OPP along with OPP support units, were in Peterborough City due to an ongoing investigation.
On November 25, 2025, Peterborough County OPP received information regarding a possible missing person.
As a result of the investigation, members of the Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, along with other members of the OPP and Peterborough Police Service, attended an address in Peterborough City.
The individual was located safe without incident.
Although an increased police presence can be alarming, this was an isolated incident and at no time posed a threat to public safety.
No further information will be released at this time.
