A loaded handgun and cocaine were seized by police after two people were arrested in Cobourg this week.
On Wednesday, members of the Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit arrested two individuals in Cobourg.
A subsequent search warrant was carried out at a residence in Pickering.
Police located and seized the handgun, approximately 645 grams of cocaine, a quantity of Canadian currency, cell phones and drug paraphernalia.
Shaquille Nathaniel-Lovell, age 28, from Pickering, has been charged with:
– Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
– Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
– Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition o rder
– Breach of firearms regulations
Andrew Jack, age 34, from Ajax, has been charged with:
– Possession for the purpose of trafficking
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
Both accused were held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
