A new outdoor art exhibit in Quinte West showcases Canadian-themed artwork and photography from local artists.
“Canada: True North, Strong and Free” is the fall/winter exhibit in the city’s Art on the Trent series, celebrating Canada’s landscapes, wildlife, and cultural spirit.
The exhibit, a presentation by the City of Quinte West, in partnership with Arts Quinte West, features the works of seven artists displayed in the city’s 12 outdoor art frames in Centennial Park, Frankford Tourist Park, and RiverFront Square.
It also features three pieces from the These 4 Walls Kids Inclusion Art Show, highlighting the creativity and perspectives of local young artists.
The exhibit continues through the end of March 2026.
“The Art on the Trent program gives residents and visitors a chance to enjoy public art year-round in familiar, everyday spaces,” says Shannon Millar, tourism coordinator. “We’re especially excited about this season’s exhibit and the creativity it brings to our community.”
In late 2022, the city received grant funding to purchase eight outdoor art frame structures, now installed in Centennial Park, Frankford Tourist Park and RiverFront Square.
The Art on the Trent outdoor public art program brings art to public spaces along the Trent River in Quinte West on an ongoing basis, supporting local artists and enhancing public spaces by making art accessible to residents and visitors throughout the year.
