Williams, Gordon Leonard – Promoted to Glory peacefully on November 9th, 2025, with his family by his side, in his 94th year. Born in India to missionary officers of the Salvation Army, Stanley & Beatrice Williams (nee Huffman). Beloved husband of Caroline Isabella Williams (nee Swaddling), for 73 years. Loving father of Cynthia (Glenn), and Michael (Lucinda). Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Derek, Rebecca, Afton, Graeme, Colin, Lachlan, and 18 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Stan, Eva, and Audrey. Predeceased by his brother Allan “Bub”. Gordon will be missed by his extended family and many friends.
Gordon was a lifelong member and bandsman of the Salvation Army. Gordon loved travelling and was quite adventurous, curious, and interested in what was happening with his family and world events.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Salvation Army Church, 290 Bridge Street West, Belleville, on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gordon may be made to The Salvation Army.
