The Bridge Integrated Care Hub has announced it will begin 24-hour operation on November 23, 2025.
The move is part of the planned expansion of services under the HART Hub Hastings Prince Edward.
In a release, The Bridge says the change in operating hours, in time for the winter season, will provide life-saving shelter, food, and health supports for people experiencing homelessness, addiction, or mental health challenges in the Belleville area, and bring people in out of the cold and off the streets.
“The Bridge is about safety, dignity, and connection,” said Kara Petit, executive director of the John Howard Society of Belleville, a HART Hub partner.
“By expanding our operating hours, we’re able to give people a warm place to be and the opportunity to access care, treatment, and support that can help them take the next step toward stability. The Bridge is more than just a warming centre – it’s part of a community effort to connect people to the things they need to build a more stable and healthy life.”
The Bridge says that through its 24-hour service model, it will offer meals, showers, washrooms, and access to on-site mental health and addiction support, and primary care.
It also provides system navigation and connections to housing and recovery programs, helping people safely transition out of homelessness and into more stable living situations.
