Old man winter arrived early and in a foul mood Sunday.
Snow and blowing snow caused countless minor accidents throughout the region.
Luckily no serious injuries were reported and at various times Highways 401 and 7 were closed to traffic.
Caution is advised though, especially on side roads which may not have been plowed.
