Despite the 96 mm of rain the Quinte area received last month the region is still in what is commonly known as a drought situation.
Officials with Quinte Conservation say the so-called Level 3 condition remains in effect until November 27.
Officials say more rain is needed to recover from four months of well below average rainfall and that droughts take some time from which to recover.
At a Level 3 condition a 30% reduction or more in water consumption is requested.
