Game 1 in the inaugural Zach Hyman OJHL Prospects Series begins tonight (Tuesday)
at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens in Trenton.
The tournament puts a spotlight on the top 2008- and 2009-born players from across the region.
Three teams from the East and three teams from the West will be competing in a round-robin format followed by a championship game.
Game 1 features Team Red vs. Team Grey, with both teams in the East.
A number of players in the Quinte region OJHL teams will be competing for Team Red, with Trenton Golden Hawks Head Coach Derek Smith coaching the squad.
From Trenton are defencemen Matthew Hicks, and forwards Logan Bennett & Kale Mace.
From Wellington are goalie Royden Smith, defencemen Jorden Davis, and forwards Liam Campbell & Christian Armstrong.
Team Grey will be coached by Jacob Panetta of the Wellington Dukes.
Defencemen Justin Doak will also play for Team Grey.
Forward Lorne Miles will be an alternate for teams in the East.
