Two males are in custody after a firearm and drugs were seized during a warrant investigation in Oshawa.
On Thursday, October 30, 2025, members of the Durham Regional Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and Provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Unit (ROPE) attended a residence in the area of Oxford Street and Dwight Avenue to arrest a male wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for parole violation. The suspect was located at the residence and taken into custody by the ROPE Unit without incident.
As investigators sought a search warrant for the residence, a second male exited and attempted to flea while carrying a backpack. Following a physical confrontation with police the suspect was taken into custody. Located in the suspect’s backpack were a firearm, loaded magazine, and several drugs.
Adrian Green, age 37 of no fixed address faces outstanding charges of assault, uttering threats, and theft under $5000. He was returned to a correctional facility for his outstanding parole violations.
Lukas James Semple, age 29 from Oshawa is charged with possession of a firearm, possess firearm with ammunition, attempt to disarm peace officer, resist arrest/assault peace officer, possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), and possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl).
Semple was held for a bail hearing.
