A break-and-enter in Belleville’s north end Sunday afternoon resulted in the arrest of one person.
Belleville police say an unknown male had entered a property and was stealing items from trailers.
Just before 4 p.m., officers located the suspect, who attempted to flee while discarding two bags.
Police seized several break-and-enter tools and discovered damage to the property’s fence.
Further investigation revealed that the male was currently bound by a probation order requiring him to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
Asa result of investigation, 50-year-old Eamon Gunning of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:

He was held for a bail hearing.
