Police have charged a man after someone threatened to stab employees of a north end business.
On Sunday evening, Belleville police received a report that an unknown male had pulled out a knife and threatened to stab two employees before fleeing the scene.
Police reviewed video surveillance and began searching for the suspect.
Less than an hour later, officers located the male a short distance away.
During his arrest, the suspect admitted to stealing a mug from another nearby business.
A 50-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:

Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose

Theft under $5000

Fail to comply with probation order x2
He was held for a bail hearing.
