Belleville police continue to investigate a serious weekend collision that sent three people to hospital.
A Honda Civic and Chevy Cruze were involved in a head-on collision just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Old Highway 2 in the area of Burns Drive near the border with Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
Three people were taken to hospital, one person in critical condition.
Two others sustained minor injuries.
Police say the initial investigation indicates that the Honda was travelling east at a high rate of speed when it crossed into the westbound lane and collided with the Chevy.
The investigation is ongoing.
