One-of-two young Quinte area women killed by an impaired driver in a 2021 crash will be the face and story featured in this year’s MADD Canada Red Ribbon national campaign.
Rebecca Beatty of Quinte West died in the collision near 8 Wing Trenton along with her friend Anastasia Collins of Belleville.
The Red Ribbon campaign will be launched in a ceremony at the Durham Regional Police Service East Division on October 30.
Meanwhile on November 7, a memorial will be placed at the scene of the collision along Old Highway 2 near RCAF Road.
