Three people have been charged after a vehicle involved in a single-vehicle collision in Northumberland County was found to be stolen.
On October 5 at around 8:45 p.m., Northumberland OPP responded to a report of a pickup truck in a ditch on Bowmanton Road in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand.
Officers arrived at the location and spoke to the three occupants of the vehicle.
Investigation revealed the driver was suspended, and the vehicle was reported to be stolen from an address in Roseneath on August 29.
All three persons were taken into custody.
Austin Flare (22) from the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand, has been charged with:
– Take motor vehicle without consent
– Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
– Use plate not authorized for vehicle
– Having care or control of a motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor
Joshua Smoke (21) from Roseneath, has been charged with:
– Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
Jayson Meyer (19) from the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand, has been charged with:
– Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
All accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in November.
