A 43-year-old Oshawa man is facing charges after an incident Sunday morning.
At approximately 8:20 a.m. on October 12, 2025, multiple calls were received about a vehicle at the intersection of Lansdowne Street East and Television Road and that a man appeared to be asleep in the driver’s seat.
Upon arrival, officers had to break the driver’s side window as the driver was not responding to officers or paramedics to wake up.
In speaking with the driver, officers noticed signs of impairment as well as drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
They also learned that he was a suspended driver.
During a search of the vehicle after arrest, officers located and seized:
- 35.3 grams of crack cocaine
- 36.8 grams of Fentanyl
- 5 grams of heroin
- 1.6 grams of psilocybin
- Drug paraphernalia
As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Oshawa man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation While Prohibited
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine x2
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Heroin
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (Other Than Heroin) x5
- Possession of a Schedule III Substance
- Driving While Under Suspension (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day licence suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday court on October 12, 2025.
