The Ontario Trillium Foundation has come to the aid of the Quinte Paddling Club again.
On Saturday morning, Bay of Quinte riding MPP Tyler Allsopp announced a Trillium grant of $46,600 for the
club.
In 2023 the club was selected for a grant of $58,500 from the foundation.
This most recent grant allowed the club to purchase two competitive dragon boats which hold 22 people, and a trailer to transport them to competitions.
After a competition amongst members, the boats were named Cadence and Kenhte.

MPP Allsopp congratulated the club for its work in bringing people together to enjoy the Bay of Quinte, all the while promoting fun and fitness.
And president of the Quinte Paddling Club Jeff Durish offered thanks to the Trillium Foundation for its ongoing support noting that years ago the foundation provided money to help build the club’s clubhouse, shared with the Quinte Rowing Club, along Keegan Parkway near the Herchimer Avenue boat launch in Belleville.
“Without the foundation’s help we couldn’t help so many people get out and connect with the Bay of Quinte while promoting a healthy lifestyle.”
The Quinte Paddling Club welcomes new members. Information about the club can be found here.
