The Stouffville Spirit defeated the Wellington Dukes 6-4 on Friday night.
Kyle Grasby, Zachary Carrier, and Zachary Mascard scored for the Dukes.
The Spirit opened scoring in the first two minutes of the first period, with the Dukes evening the score with less than 30 seconds left in the frame. In the second, the Dukes scored first taking the lead before the Spirit took back-to-back goals and reclaimed their lead. In the third The Spirit picked up three additional goals. While the Dukes scored twice, they couldn’t catch up and The Spirit took the win.
The Dukes are on the road on Saturday, facing the Lindsay Muskies. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
