The parents of two young ladies killed by an impaired driver near 8 Wing Trenton in 2021 want to keep their memory alive.
On Saturday October 4, a one- or five-kilometre walk/run will be held beginning at Trenton’s Centennial Park in honour of Rebecca Beatty and Anastasia Collins.
They died in a head-on crash on October 3 almost four years ago.
The event will be known as “Blizzard for the Girls Walk/Run.
Just before the tragic collision they had purchased Blizzards from Dairy Queen.
Tickets for the event are $27 for adults and $20 for children with all net proceeds going MADD Quinte (Mothers Against
Drunk Driving) and the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward.
Participants will receive a run t-shirt, a race bib, and a voucher for a medium Dairy Queen Blizzard. The run/walk begins at
10 a.m.
