Proceeds from the annual event go to the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic Education Foundation, a charity that provides financial assistance to students and families in urgent financial need for essentials such as food and clothing.
“Our annual golf tournament is always a highlight of the year. As the event organizer and chair of the foundation, I get to see both sides: how much fun participants have connecting with each other on the course, and the incredible impact the funds raised make for students and families in need,” said Leila Goyer, chair of the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic Education Foundation. “This year’s record-breaking total is proof of what happens when our community comes together in support of our students and their families.”
The annual golf tournament has become a cornerstone fundraising event for the foundation, bringing together local businesses, community partners and supporters to make a lasting difference in the lives of students.
