The work never ends if it involves raising money to buy medical equipment for hospitals and in the Bancroft area the North Hastings Hospital Fund Development team continues to work for new equipment.
The group raised almost $3 million for a CT scanner that was delivered in November of 2023 and it just finished raising $270,000 for additional equipment including a portable ultrasound machine.
Currently a campaign is underway to raise $1.25 million, much of which will go toward a new X-ray machine.
Last year over 20,000 X-rays were performed at North Hastings Hospital and it’s expected that number will increase
this year.
