It is incredible at times to reflect on how supportive the Quinte region can be, especially when there are thousands of people and hundreds of organizations/teams/charities/not-for-profits in need of assistance.
For the second year, the YMCA – A Night in White Gala is almost sold out.
It is taking place on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Connon Nurseries in Bayside.
Lead organizer Golda Lafferty says there is fun for everyone.
“We’re going to have a social evening where you can have a cocktail if you wish, snack on some little bits, dress in white if you can. There’s going to be some music, some dancing, some silent auction items, some live auction items. A time to get together with all of our friends at the end of the summer.”’
Lafferty tells Quinte News last year’s inaugural event was a sell-out.
“It’s a more relaxed event. People love going to galas, they love going to events, they love dancing, they love having a good time, and I think what made this different was you had people dressed in cocktail dresses, in jeans and t-shirts, you could just come socialize, grab something to eat, people were wandering around, dancing was great. Everybody just had a relaxed good time, just a fun, chill kind of night.”
