Highway 401 has reopened, though an investigation continues, after an early-morning wreck that has left one person deceased in Kingston.
First responders, including OPP officers, responded to the westbound lanes of Hwy 401 near the Highway 15 interchange just before 3 a.m. on Friday, where a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer were involved in a head-on collision.
The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The westbound 401 lanes remained closed for an accident investigation, until they were reopened just after 1:30 in the afternoon.
