Hastings County’s Community and Human Services Committee is recommending council approve
a hybrid warming centre in Bancroft.
It will be located at a new location now under construction on Billa Street and will operate 12 hours a day, 365 days a year.
It’s proposed it run from 9 p.m. until 9 a.m. and should be ready for the winter.
It will offer a general seating area and a small sleeping area.
The cost of the centre is included in Hastings County’s budget.
