Stolen Vehicle
On September 9, 2025 at 7:56 a.m., Belleville police received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Cottonwood Dr. Upon arrival, it was reported that sometime overnight, a grey 2021 Hyundai Elantra was stolen. The vehicle bears Ontario licence plate SANTYY. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882.
Impaired Driver
On September 9, 2025 at 7:02 p.m., Belleville police received a report of a female who was suspected to be impaired driving a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle a short distance away and conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the driver, officers observed her to be impaired. As a result of investigation, Ashley Waye, a 42-year-old Plainfield woman, was arrested and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol, and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg.
She was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in October.
