Belleville police responded to 251 calls for service beginning at 5 a.m. on September 5, 2025 to 5 a.m. on September 8, 2025.
Impaired Driver
On September 6, 2025 at 12:27 a.m., Belleville police conducted a traffic stop. Officers spoke with the driver who was observed to be impaired. As a result of the investigation, Landon Galvin, a 21-year-old Prince Edward County man, was arrested and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg.
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in October.
Assault
On September 6, 2025 at approximately 1:15 p.m., Belleville police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in the city’s west end. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a female who reported that a male had attended the residence, physically assaulted her, and then fled the scene. Officers attempted to locate the male without success. Further investigation revealed the male was in breach of a probation order for failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
On September 7, 2025 at 5:25 p.m., Belleville police were called back to the same residence. Officers located the male hiding under a mattress in the basement. As a result, a 19-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged him with:

Interfering With Traffic
On September 6, 2025 at 9:49 p.m., Belleville police responded to a report of a female repeatedly walking into traffic in the area of Station St. and Church St. As a result, a 42-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Interfering with traffic and failure to use crosswalk.
