On September 3, 2025 at 9:43 a.m., Belleville police responded to a call in the city’s west end regarding a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, officers located a male and female and spoke to both.
It was reported that the male had attended the female’s residence, resulting in a verbal altercation which led to her being pushed off her bicycle.
Upon further investigation, officers learned that the male was in breach of his probation order by being in communication with the female.
As a result, a 56-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with assault and failure to comply with a probation order x 2.
He was held for a bail hearing.
