Faculty and support staff will rally at Loyalist College Wednesday, calling for a better future on campus.
They’re expected to be joined by Ontario Public Service Employees Union President JP Hornick, Faculty Union President Tracy Mackenzie, professors from recently suspended programs, students and community allies.
The union says recent cuts to faculty and alarming decisions by senior management, have cast doubt not just on the financial sustainability of Loyalist College, but also the availability of quality, local post-secondary opportunities for current and prospective students in surrounding communities.
The rally will begin at noon at the college’s main entrance.
