More charges have been laid in a multi-million dollar classic car theft and fraud case in the Quinte region.
Robert Bradshaw, age 54 (at time of charges) of Stirling was charged with:
- Theft of motor vehicles over $5,000
- Fraud over $5,000
- Use forged documents
- Conspiracy to commit and indictable offence
Gary Leblanc, age 55 (at time of charges) of Stirling was charged with:
- Theft of motor vehicles over $5,000
- Fraud over $5,000
- Use forged documents
- Conspiracy to commit and indictable offence
- Uttering threats
Last September Michael McCrory, 58 (at time of charges) of Central Hastings was charged with:
- possession of property obtained by crime,
- theft valued at more than $5,000,
- fraud of more than $5,000,
- conspiracy to commit an indictable offence x 2
- using deals or acts on forged documents
Another person charged, Charlotte Johnston of Carleton Place, recently pleaded guilty to forgery and will be back in court September 22, 2025.
Leblanc and Bradshaw were ordered to push past preliminary discovery and straight to trial, as ordered by the Deputy Attorney General of Ontario.
The case revolves around a classic car dealer in western Ontario reporting numerous vehicles stolen in late 2023.
UPDATED INDIVIDUALS CHARGED IN INVESTIGATION (mid August 2025)
Roger Thompson, age 74 (at time of charges) of Belleville has been charged with:
- possession of property obtained by crime
- uttering a forged document
- possession of property obtained by crime (Vehicle Identification Number of which has been wholly or partially removed or obliterated or a part of a motor vehicle being a part bearing a vehicle identification number that has been wholly or partially removed )
Jack Bradshaw age 74 (at time of charges) of Quinte West has been charged with
- obstructing police
- possession of property obtained by crime x 2
- fraud over $5,000
There have been dozens of people who purchased vehicles and had them seized as part of the investigation.
It is believed the value is roughly $6.5 million in vehicles.
