The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate in connection with a motorcycle collision on Bath Road late last month.
On Thursday, July 31 shortly after 1:30 p.m., Lennox and Addington OPP received a report of a fast-moving motorcycle travelling east on Bath Road.
Shortly after, another call was received reporting that the same motorcycle had been involved in a collision with a car at the intersection of Bath Road and Westfield Road.
The motorcycle rider was transported to hospital by Frontenac Paramedics with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, 23-year-old Brandon Kerr of Odessa-Loyalist Township, was arrested and charged with dangerous operation and possession of cocaine.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Napanee on August 21.
