Warrants, Drug Arrest
On August 15, 2025 at 6:40 p.m., Belleville police on general patrol in the city’s east end observed a male known to be wanted on outstanding warrants by the Belleville Police Service. Officers spoke to the male and arrested him on the strength of the warrants. At the time, police seized a quantity of cocaine and percocet pills. As a result, John Gannon, a 32-year-old Deseronto man was charged additionally with two counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking. He was held for a bail hearing.
Trespassing, Harassment
On August 15, 2025 at 11:07 p.m., Belleville police attended a residence in the city’s west end regarding a report of an unwanted person. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a female who reported that a male was currently outside her residence in breach of his no contact order. Officers located the male on the lawn behind her residence. As a result, a 42-year-old Shannonville man was arrested and charged with:

Arson, Breach of Probation
On August 15, 2025 at 8:55 p.m., Belleville police responded to a call in the city’s west end to assist the Belleville Fire Department, who were on scene for a grass fire. Upon arrival, the grass fire was out. It was reported that a female had started the fire with a lighter. As a result of the investigation, Jessica Cruse, a 27-year-old Belleville woman was located, arrested, and charged with:

Assault
On August 17, 2025 at 2:23 p.m., Belleville police responded to the Belleville hospital regarding a report of a female patient assaulting a paramedic. Upon arrival, officers spoke with EMS on-scene who reported that the female had threatened, punched and spat on a paramedic. As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with:

Impaired, Breach of Release Order
On August 17, 2025 at 6:15 p.m., Belleville police received a report from the OPP that a male had been observed driving with a child while having open alcohol inside the vehicle. Shortly after, officers located the suspect vehicle driving in the city’s west end and conducted a traffic stop and observed empty alcohol cans in the vehicle. As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:
