Durham Regional Police are investigating after two people were located deceased in a residence in Whitby.
On Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at approximately 10:45 a.m., members of Central West Division responded to a residence in the area of Fallingbrook Street and Taunton Road East for a sudden-death call. Police arrived on scene where two people were pronounced deceased. Whitby Fire Services conducted tests for environmental hazards and the area was deemed safe.
A 62-year-old female and 51-year-old male were pronounced deceased at the scene. Two people were transported to a local hospital.
A post-mortem examination was conducted on the two deceased parties. At this time, the investigation remains ongoing and investigators believe there is no threat to public safety.
