There will not be any further discussion on any irregular hiring practices in Northumberland County.
Warden Brian Ostrander says in October 2024, council identified independent legal counsel to undertake a neutral and impartial third-party investigation of county hiring practices in and around late 2023 through 2024.
The findings of this independent investigation were presented to council in a closed meeting on July 31.
The investigation concluded that there was no evidence to support a finding of any irregular or improper hiring practices.
