A Campbellford resident is celebrating after winning the $50,000 top prize on an instant crossword scratch ticket.
Daniel Dupuis, a retiree, has been playing the lottery for 20 years. He says he picked up 3 tickets at the store one evening, including the big winner.
“When I got home, I played them one by one, and the last one gave me a shock — it was a $50,000 winner! In that moment, I was so happy and surprised,” said Dupuis. “I couldn’t sleep that night because of all the excitement!”
With his windfall, Dupuis plans to pay off his vehicle and save for the future.
