It was quite the weekend for local athletes at the Athletics Canada 2025 U16-18 Legion Track and Field Championships in Calgary.
Quinte Legion Lynx members Charlee Sage and Josh Thomas jumped their way to silver medals.
Thomas, a Bayside Secondary student landed 1.97 m in the U18 boy’s high jump.

Charlee Sage, who attends St Theresa, had a personal best in the U16 pole vault at 3.2 m.

Other strong finishes went to Hudson Brown from St Theresa, who finished fifth in the U16 pole vault, along with Bayside Secondary’s Isla Bibby who had a fourth in the U18 girls pole vault.
Nicholson’s Sydney Johnson had a fourth -place finish in the discus.
