On August 7, 2025 at 10:28 a.m., Belleville police responded to Front St. regarding a report of assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a volunteer from the Belleville Police Service Community Policing Office, who reported a female had spat on him. As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old female of no fixed address, was located, arrested, and charged with assault and failure to comply with probation order, two counts.
She was held for a bail hearing.
