The Deputy Attorney General of Ontario has ordered that two men from Stirling and another from Centre Hastings go straight to trial without a preliminary hearing in a multi-million dollar classic car theft and fraud case.
The Stirling men, Robert Bradshaw and Gary Leblanc, were arrested in May of last year and Michael McRory of Centre Hastings was arrested in September on charges of theft of motor vehicles over $5,000, fraud over $5,000, and using forged documents.
Leblanc also faces a charge of uttering threats. Another person charged, Charlotte Johnston of Carleton Place, recently pleaded guilty to forgery and will be back in court September 22.
The case revolves around a classic car dealer in western Ontario reporting numerous of his vehicles being stolen in late 2023.
It is alleged they were later resold to unsuspecting customers who later had them repossessed by police.
