A Belleville man faces dangerous driving, impaired driving, driving under suspension, and breach of probation charges after a two-vehicle crash in west end Belleville mid-morning Monday.
City police and Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services responded to the area of Bridge Street West and Octavia Street around 10 a.m. after a collision between a pickup truck and car.
Witnesses said one of the vehicles was going west at a high rate of speed when it jumped the sidewalk and veered back onto the street hitting an eastbound vehicle which was driving normally.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, 33 year-old Jesse Scullion, was arrested and charged.
The other driver was taken to Belleville General Hospital for treatment.
