Charges have been laid after reports of a fast-moving, swerving vehicle on Highway 401 in Loyalist Township.
On Tuesday, just after 10:00 a.m., Lennox and Addington OPP responded to reports of a fast-moving westbound car.
Officers observed erratic driving behaviour and were able to stop the vehicle west of Shannonville Road.
The driver was arrested without incident.
Simon Lauze, age 31 of Toronto, has been charged with:
- Dangerous operation of a vehicle
- Stunt driving
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on July 8, 2025.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been seized and suspended for 30 days and their car was impounded for 14 days.
