Officers with the Investigative Services Unit of the Peterborough Police Service are searching for suspects after an incident last Saturday morning.
On the afternoon of May 17, 2025, officers were notified about a man taken to hospital after he had been assaulted with a hammer. It’s believed the incident happened sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning in the area of Reid Street and Simcoe Street. It’s further believed that it was not an isolated incident. The victim was taken to a Toronto-area hospital by helicopter for treatment.
