Pliva, Jane peacefully passed away Pleasant Meadow Manor on May 15, 2025 at the age of 82 years after a 22 year battle with Parkinson’s disease. Beloved wife of Ervin Pliva. Loving mother to Barbara Pearce (Jeffrey Maw). Cherished grandmother of Daniel Pearce. Jane is predeceased by parents Robert & Vera Wilmot.
Jane was born and raised in Toronto where she graduated from the University of Toronto in 1964. She immediately began her career as a high school math teacher. Jane and Erv married in 1975 and welcomed their daughter Barbara in 1976. They then moved to Warkworth in 1979. Jane then landed at CDHS where she taught until her retirement in 1996. She became an avid quilter in her retirement. Jane welcomed her cherished grandson Daniel in 2002. She loved her family, orchids, gardening and crafting.
