Northumberland OPP are investigating two incidents of distraction thefts that they believe are linked.
Both occurred on Monday.
The first report relates to the theft of cash from an address on County Road 45 in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand.

A similar incident was reported from Morrow Road in Trent Hills.
The victim later realized that their jewellery box was no longer in the residence.
Officers believe the occurrences to be linked and the investigations are ongoing.
