One person has been charged with assault after an incident in Belleville’s downtown core on Wednesday morning.
Belleville police responded to the call at 9:55 a.m.
Officers learned that a male suspect had thrown hot coffee into another person’s face.
Police say they were able to identify the assailant through CCTV and witness statements.
As a result, 27-year-old Stephan Young was charged with one count of assault.
He was released from police custody with a court date in June.
