Northumberland OPP have charged a person in relation to sexual offences in Port Hope.
The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit began the investigation on April 18, 2025 after receiving a report from a neighbouring police service related to alleged sexual offences.
Police say the victim was known to the accused.
On April 19, 2025, a search warrant was executed at a home.
Fifty-nine-year-old Anthony Zlot of Port Hope has been arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Assault
- Sexual interference
- Sexual assault
- Sexual exploitation
The accused was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on April 19, 2025.
