An early morning traffic stop resulted in a driver being charged with impaired operation.
At around 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Prince Edward County OPP conducted a traffic stop on County Road 15.
On May 7, 2025, at approximately 1:45 a.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on County Road 15.
Further investigation led to an Approved Screening Device being used, and the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, 25-year-old Mackenzie Bailey of Roslin, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 28, 2025.
They also had their driver’s license suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.
