An ex-spouse faces obstructing police and breach of probation charges after running from police Tuesday.
Several calls to police were made by a woman asking about the release conditions given her ex-spouse.
Concerned, police attended the woman’s home but she did not mention any contact with her ex.
Officers remained suspicious and returned to the residence a short time later to find the ex spouse running out of the back door.
Police chased the suspect through neighborhood backyards for a short time finally arresting a 39 year-old Belleville man.
He was held for a bail hearing.
