The winter weather on Saturday afternoon/evening did not keep people away from a number of Coldest Night of the Year walks across the area.
At the Morningstar Mission walk in Napanee, 181 walkers from 35 teams raised $100,392 (goal $100,000).
For the Kingston Lionhearts, 178 walkers on 27 teams collected $49,013 (goal $100,000).
The Hope and Light Urban Outreach in Cobourg collected $20,361 (goal $20,000). Fifty-nine walkers were spread across 10 teams.

At Port Hope’s Green Wood Coalition walk, an impressive 115 per cent of the goal was hit, coming in at $57,941 (goal $50,000). There were 196 walkers on 38 teams.
Belleville raised $53,838 for the Grace Inn Shelter (goal $75,000). Two-hundred-and-forty walkers on 54 teams participated.
The Trenton Care and Share Food Bank hit $45,564, which was 227 per cent of their goal ($20,000 goal). One-hundred-forty-one participants were on 27 teams.
About 200 volunteers supported the six regional walks.
