Brighton council has set its 2025 operating budget.
Homeowners in Brighton will see a tax rate increase of 6.24 per cent.
That translates to taxes of almost $6,200 year on a home assessed at $400,000, around $300 more than last year.
Brighton’s residential taxes are in the middle of the pack compared with other municipalities in Northumberland County.
The 2025 budget totals close to $62 million.
