For the first time since January 3, the Trenton Golden Hawks have suffered a loss.
The visiting Haliburton County Huskies doubled Trenton 4-2 putting an end to the G-Hawks’ 12-game winning streak.
Devin Mauro (22nd) and Jamie Darlson (11th) scored for Trenton in just their sixth loss in regulation this season.
They’re home to Lindsay on Friday night.
The Wellington Dukes had a second period they would like to forget. The Milton Menace scored six times in the middle frame on their way to an 8-3 romp.
Ethan Murray scored twice for the Dukes. He has 24 on the year.
The Dukes are home Friday night to the Pickering Panthers.
Frankford 6 Lakefield 1
In Junior C play, the Frankford Huskies dumped Lakefield 6-1 to move within two points of first place Napanee in the East Tod Division.
Tyson Carr scored twice. Joey Coates added a goal with two assists.
Frankford is at Picton on Thursday night.
