Quinte West OPP recovered a stolen vehicle while conducting enforcement on Highway 401.
Just after 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers observed a vehicle travelling east on Highway 401 and determined that it had earlier been reported stolen out of Toronto.
The vehicle exited at Glen Miller Road, at which time officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver was arrested.
A 21-year-old male from St. Jerome Quebec, has been charged with:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Trafficking in property obtained by crime
- Flight from a peace officer
The accused was held for a bail hearing
