One person has been arrested and another is wanted following a break-in at a restaurant in Picton.
The incident was reported on Tuesday,
OPP East Region’s Community Street Crime Unit says a person entered the business on Main Street sometime during the overnight hours and made off with a large quantity of alcohol.
As a result of an investigation, one person has been arrested by the Street Crime Unit with assistance from the OPP Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit.
Twenty-nine-year-old Lucas Boudreau of Picton has been charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence and theft under $5000.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on March 19, 2025.
An arrest warrant has been issued for 37-year-old Keith Van Dam of Prince Edward County on the following charges:
- Break and enter to commit an indictable offence
- Theft under $5000
- Fail to comply with a probation order
